Between 1965 and 1967, almost two dozen 73 foot purse seiners were built for the South African and Namibian fishing industries by Cape Town-based boat builder, Maritime Industries (Pty) Ltd. This is Part 2 of the article about ‘Tupperware’ boats that include the Esra Cruz, Eigeveld, Seeheim, Oosterdam, and the Kalahari.
