Given the hydrocarbon developments offshore Namibia and what it means for the country, this year there has been renewed focus on positioning its blue and green economies. Although conservation and biodiversity priorities have been taking centre stage, there are numerous positive developments in the aquaculture sector. The fishing industry on the other hand has had a difficult year marked by a decline in fish export earnings, labour-related issues, and corporate governance and tax evasion investigations.
