For the next 10 days, a delegation from South Africa is participating at the 16th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD COP 16), taking place in Cali, Colombia.
COP16 from today until 1 November, marks the first biodiversity conference since the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), a pivotal global agreement aimed at halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2030.
