SAMSIA NPC and the South African Squid Management Industrial Association were dealt another blow last week when its application to set aside the decision taken by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment to give 15% of the squid total allowable effort (TAE) to the small-scale fisheries sector was dismissed.
