There’s a Case for Caution as Excitement Mounts over Namibia Oil and Gas Discoveries

TotalEnergies announcement that it was exiting its discoveries offshore South Africa to focus on its Namibia assets might in some instances have been blamed on detractors, but in fact it is a strategic move on the part of the oil and gas major. Now it seems that TotalEnergies could begin commercial production of Namibia’s upstream oil and gas reserves as soon as 2028 if the conditions are right.
