Better Late than Never but the SAMSA Annual Report 2022/2023 Doesn’t Contain Much Good News

It’s a bit late but the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) has got around to releasing its 2022/23 Annual Report. The contents leave little doubt that the gaps in leadership brought about by not appointing a permanent Chief Executive for six years, have resulted in so much that has been allowed to slide when it concerns safety at sea.
