Australian company, Searcher wants to recommence with its seismic survey of the Cape West coast in early 2025. Their reconnaissance permit is set to expire on 10 November this year and they hope to renew it for the third time. But small-scale fisherwomen are one step ahead. They have set up a petition and want to gather enough signatures to ensure that the relevant authority does not grant this company its environmental authorisation.
