Former Mozambique Finance Minister, Manuel Chang, must surely reflect on how he has arrived where he is – a convicted criminal whose fall from grace has been driven by lies and money and greed. He is by no means the first African leader to find himself in this position and probably won’t be the last to face a lifetime in prison.
This week a US jury convicted the former finance minister for Mozambique, Manuel Chang, for his alleged involvement in USD2 million in fraudulent loans to three state-owned companies to develop the country’s fishing industry and improve maritime security.
