Wastewater Crisis as Drug Contamination Threatens Marine Life and Human Health

It is a horrible thought, but new research has found high levels of drug contamination in South African coastal waters prompting calls for urgent improvement to wastewater treatment. Meanwhile this is putting marine life and human health at risk, says a report on the Nature Africa website. It is not an easy fix however, as the problems are rapidly mounting countrywide.
