New Biodiversity Bill Looks After “Our Land, Our Future”

In a big step forward to protect South Africa’s unique and rich biodiversity, the country is soon to enact the Biodiversity Bill. This Bill will prevail over other national legislation related to biodiversity, including the National Environmental: Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004 (NEMBA) which was implemented 20 years ago. The environmental law experts of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyer (CDH) explain the changes and what to expect.
