SA to Ratify World Trade Organisation Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies

The Chagos Islands, a group of seven atolls comprising more than 60 islands in the Indian Ocean have finally been handed back to Mauritius after being ceded to Britain in 1965.

The Portfolio Committee on Trade, Industry and Competition has approved the World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) agreement on the ratification of fisheries subsidies.
