Thousands of ocean defenders have reacted with shock to the news that TotalEnergies, with partners Shell and PetroSA, have been granted permission to drill up to five oil wells just 60km off Cape Point. Furthermore, that environmental authorisation had also been granted for a seismic survey off the West Coast.
