Mozambique Wants Privinvest Compensation in Tuna Bond Case

The latest news to come out of the London court system is that Mozambique will be pursuing compensation from shipbuilder, Privinvest, government officials have confirmed.

Privinvest is alleged to have paid bribes to corrupt Mozambican officials and Credit Suisse bankers in exchange for government-backed guarantees for loans. The money was supposed to be used to fund a fleet of 24 tuna fishing vessels, and for military security.
