Participants Latest Progress Check on Providing Sustainable Seafood

The Retailer Supplier Participation scheme is helping to keep participants on track as far as sourcing and supplying sustainable seafood is concerned. The latest report has just been published.

WWF’s Southern African Sustainable Seafood Initiative (WWF-SASSI) has been driving the Retailer Supplier Participation scheme. Emphasising that retailers should be held to account about the sustainable sourcing of the seafood they sell to consumers, the organisation has been tracking their progress for the past 15 years.

The latest results are published in the eighth edition of the report titled “Small fry, big impact”, the 2022 Retailer Supplier Participation Scheme Report. It highlights the fact that consumers rely on retailers to do the right thing by supplying them with sustainable options on their shelf.
