Some traditional leaders and officials in Eastern Cape coastal municipalities are attending Oceans Economy and Governance workshops. The purpose of these workshops is to empower them with the relevant legislative framework governing the coastal and marine areas. This is with a view to reducing the level of conflict around the development of oil and gas projects.
