The Azinam oil rig is set to start oil and gas exploration activities offshore Honderklipbaai, Kleinsee and Port Nolloth, in the next few days. Fishing communities are opposed to oil and gas projects and are disappointed their wishes are being overruled. More concerning is that there is no project-specific oil spill contingency plan in place.
