South Africa’s small-scale fishing communities don’t want oil and gas extractive activities, insist some civil society and fisher organisations. They made this clear on the second day of the Cape Town event hosted by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) and the Petroleum Agency SA (PASA). They vow they will fight to ensure sustainable development of the environment.
