Oceana Group has notified its shareholders today that its external auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. (PwC), has resigned its account with immediate effect.
The resignation of an external auditor is a big deal, whatever the size of the organisation. It comes with all sorts of complications and an impressive paper trail. So this is significant news played down somewhat earlier in the month when the Oceana Group Board acknowledged in a SENS notice the “strained relationship” it had with its external auditors.
