Last week Sekunjalo’s 11th hour success in the Equality Court to prevent Nedbank from closing its Group’s bank accounts from today, is an interesting development in that it brings into question the banks’ conduct – and not the customer.
The Equality Court has instructed Nedbank has to keep the Sekunjalo Group’s bank accounts open – for now. But this might be short-lived if the interim relief sought by Sekunjalo is not be there when the outcome of the court application is heard on 8 April.
