Locating the wreck of the Endurance, Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship which has not been seen since it was crushed by the ice and sank in the Weddell Sea in 1915, is massive international news. Importantly, the expedition team, including a large group of South Africans, was on South Africa’s polar research and logistic vessel, S.A. Agulhas II.
