Fishing Rights Allocation Process Results Free, Fair and Transparent, says Department

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is not taking any chances with the Ides of March! Yesterday, it announced the results of the 2021/22 fishing rights allocation process (FRAP) in the nine commercial fishing sectors due for re-allocation.

The General Publish Reasons (GPRs) on the allocations are on the Department’s website. Those available are hake deep sea trawl, traditional line fish, south coast rock lobster, demersal shark and KZN prawn trawl. These can be downloaded by accessing the FRAP folder.
