Members of the Portfolio Committee on Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment were last week updated about the July 2021 arson attack on ULP’s leased Cornubia warehouse in Durban, which led to a chemical spill. They heard about the progress of the clean-up, remediation, rehabilitation, and monitoring efforts to date which are showing success in many areas. They also heard how unhappy local fishermen are that they have been overlooked.
