The Marine Court of Enquiry into the May 2005 collision between the hake trawler, MFV Lindsay and the fruit juice tanker, Oura do Brasil, got underway in Cape Town at the end of October. It is early days yet, the paperwork is extensive and it is far too soon to draw conclusions. This is a report of proceedings to date, and is hopefully as accurate as possible without becoming voluminous.
