The fight for power takes on new meaning in different parts of South Africa. Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal communities and business have indicated their support for the Karpowership Project, while in the Western Cape the focus is very much on wind energy development and promoting the province as a green-tech hub for future economic prosperity. The ongoing bad press for this project does however seems to be driven mostly by environmental activism, and the various groups certainly appear to have a case.
