Following unsuccessful wage negotiations at the Bargaining Council for the Fishing Industry, a go-slow strike has been declared for about 2500 sea-going crew members and 7000 employees working in processing plants in the South African deep-sea fishing sector. This is on a 48-hour notice basis for an indefinite period.
