It’s not a secret. Small-scale fishing communities are feeling the full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic economic downturn. This is highlighted in a new report which documents the difficulties these communities experienced over a 15-month period commencing with the initial outbreak of Covid-19 in China at the end of 2019. The status quo remains but there is some relief.
