New Study Highlights the Environmental Plague of Plastic Bottles on Beaches

According to a new study, the stomach-turning sight of plastic bottles littering South Africa’s beaches is because ships are dumping litter at sea. The researchers want the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to increase efforts to enforce the ban on dumping at sea which was implemented in 1989.
