A #circulareconomy for fishing gear? There is no doubt that biodegradable fishing nets and gear is a hot topic internationally. There are many different projects in various stages of development and a lot of research has already been done. They all are striving for one solution – to find a way to reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean . While there is still room for improvement, the South African fishing industry’s progressivism is being recognised.
