Small-scale fishers in the Western Cape are becoming increasingly impatient that their concerns are not being addressed. With good reason as it is now several weeks since the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Barbara Creecy, announced that she was approaching the Western Cape High Court to have the entire right allocation process reviewed and re-done. Meanwhile, fishing communities are trying to make the best of a bad situation.
