WILDTRUST has been pushing its point recently that more needs to be done to protect endangered sharks and rays from the deep-sea trawl industry. Now the Lost Shark Guy has published a first ever dedicated checklist of South Africa’s chondrichthyan fauna. It provides a current list of all sharks, rays, skates and ghost sharks that occur in local waters, their distribution and current IUCN Red List status.
