South Africa’s new Alien and Invasive Species (AIS) Regulations and Lists will come into effect on 1 March 2021. However, implementation will exclude the two trout species for the time being.
This will allow for time to consider the various options aimed at minimising or mitigating the impact of regulating the Rainbow and Brown trout species.
