A Stellenbosch University PhD graduate in Chemical Engineering has developed an improved fish feed for use in aquaponics.
Improving the quality of fish feed can be a controversial subject but in this case Dr Oyama Guwa has found a solution to optimise nutrition for the hardy African catfish.
She added potassium and iron to the soya- and fishmeal-based feed.
