The Impact of FRAP 2015/16 on Hake Inshore Trawl

The South African Deep-Sea Trawling Industry Association (SADSTIA) is concerned about the government’s future plans for the hake inshore trawl fishery. It has also made public it disapproves the decisions taken by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries related to the outcomes of FRAP 2015/16.

SADSTIA believes it has good reason to be critical that no verification process or forensic audit of FRAP 2015/16 has taken place.

Particularly that there is a new Minister in the hot seat who most likely would prefer to wash her hands of the whole affair.
