The sad news last night that Nico Bacon has died after a courageous fight with COVID-19 has left the commercial fishing industry reeling. Bacon, a stalwart of the industry and founder of Viking Fishing 40 years ago, was a huge figure known for his non-nonsense approach to life, a tremendous affinity for the sea and all who work on it and of course his legendary kindness.
