A disturbing sight of about 100 sharks beheaded, finned and gutted. They were dumped on a beach along the False Bay coast in April 2020.
Shark conservationists and ecotourism operators are piling on the pressure to have the demersal long line shark fishery phased out. A petition has been raised and numerous complaints have been lodged with the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries.
