It will be a relief for right holders to know they can continue fishing during the COVID-19 national lockdown coming into effect from midnight on Thursday.

Environment, Forestry and Fisheries Minister, Barbara Creecy, during an Economics Cluster media conference this morning, confirmed that fishing was exempt from lockdown because the sector is “crucial to domestic food security.”
