One by one all the people involved in the Mozambique debt scandal are being hauled in. Involving USD 2-billion in loans to buy a tuna fishing fleet and surveillance ships, this case continues to unravel as the level of corruption is revealed.

In the latest update, the South African justice minister, Ronald Lamola, and a Mozambique civil society organisation, have applied to the courts to set aside a May decision by former justice minister, Michael Masutho to extradite former finance minister, Michael Chang, to Mozambique.

The Mozambique government is opposing this.
