The spike in Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing activity in Namibian waters has been concerning the Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR) for some time. A two-month joint operation with Sea Shepherd to patrol its Exclusive Economic Zone, has been concluded and has apparently delivered results.
