Precincts considered during the 2010-2014 and current application for environmental authorisation for a sea-based Aquaculture Development Zone in Algoa Bay, Eastern Cape. Precincts 2, 3, 4 and 5 were found to be unfeasible and were screened out. The southern portion of Algoa 1 (Option 2) has been screened out to reduce impacts on the chokka squid fishing industry.
