UPDATE: Octopus Fishery Suspended, Gear Removed

The public outcry following reporting about numerous whales getting trapped in fishing gear and in some cases dying, has resulted in the commercial octopus fishery being temporarily suspended by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries.

This is with immediate effect.
