This article is about the history of the former Cape Town-based shipwright company called Bayview Shipwrights. Founded in 1963 by Steven Ringquest, the company, located in the Yacht Basin at the Cape Docks, specialised in building and repairing wooden fishing boats. Many survived decades. They include the Oceana Amethyst HTB 32, Aquilla HTB 305, Emerald PEA 387 and Oceana Mercury SH 42.
