In March last year Gansbaai residents welcomed the news that nine fisheries officials had been arrested for corruption-related allegations; 19 people arrested in total, representing about nine different syndicates.
The South African Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Senzeni Zokwana, has his hands full. Looking worse for wear in a television interview last night, the Minister was adamant some of his recent decisions and announcements are not electioneering!
