Suspended Deputy Director General of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Siphokazi Ndudane, was recently found to be guilty of 39 alleged charges related to 155 alleged demeanours of fraud, theft, extortion, forgery, defeating the ends of justice, and insubordination.
This is according to a document distributed to the media at a recent press conference by Beverley Schäfer, spokesperson on economic opportunities, tourism and agriculture for the opposition political party, Democratic Alliance (DA).
The 67 page document details the charges being dealt with at a disciplinary hearing and was signed off on 3 September by Michael Mlengana who is the Director General for the Department.
Many of the charges are to do with accounting irregularities and not following proper procurement protocol including the appointment of Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo to perform the Fishing Rights Allocation Processes (FRAP).
