Since 2000 he has operated as a fishing industry consultant, primarily in Namibia and other SADC region countries. Renewal of fishing rights are on quite a number of Namibian fishing companies minds in 2018. This includes right holders who have reached the maximum term of 20 years for a right, which will expire at the end of 2018. Right holders with terminating rights are consequently going to have to re-apply, motivating based on performance, why their rights should be extended.
