Using waste water from aquaculture, a new kind of technically-focused food producer is building a niche in the aquaponics market growing organic vegetable produce and freshwater fish.
I wrote a few articles on freshwater aquaculture back in 2010-2011. I attended conferences, government workshops and met entrepreneurs. It was going to be the next big thing. Creating tens of thousands of jobs (especially in economically struggling fishing communities) – and feed the Nation. It just hasn’t happened like that yet.
