The review application brought by Viking Fishing in relation to the FRAP 2015/2016 hake inshore trawl rights allocation has been postponed until late April 2017. This has been confirmed by the South African Deep-Sea Trawling Industry Association.
In a statement SADSTIA secretary, Johann Augustyn, said the postponement was agreed to by both parties – Viking Fishing and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and fisheries Senzeni Zokwana.
“It was decided at court that because of its importance and effect on the entire fishing industry that the matter should stand over to be heard by a full bench of the High Court.
